Work History: Ms. Cleary was a Co-Director of the coordinating center for the Diabetes Control and Complications Trial under sponsorship of National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases and was the Principal Investigator of the data coordinating center for the Optic Neuritis Treatment Trial funded by National Eye Institute. She was principal investigator for Genetics Of Kidneys In Diabetes, funded by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International. She was previously Director of the Methodological and Biostatistical Coordinating Center for the rhIGF-1 Genentech Epidemiological Project. Previous to joining The Biostatistics Center in 1977, she served as the coordinator for the data center for the National Institute of Mental Health pioneer program, the Early Clinical Drug Evaluation Unit. She also served as the statistical consultant to The George Washington University Department of Medicine.
