Work History: Mr. Boedecker started with U.S. Steel in 1978 as a member of local 1298 Steel Workers. He held the title of Shop Steward and Activities Chairman until the plant closed in 1984. He was then hired as a Plant Helper at the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company in 1984. He was promoted through all the job classifications in the steam power division and is currently a Control Room operator on a 250 Mega Watt generator unit in Cleveland, Ohio for First Energy, the parent company of C.E.I. Mr. Boedecker has been the Steward, Chief Job Steward, Vice Division Chairman and Recording Secretary in his union since 1985.
