Work History: From 1974 to 1976, Mr. Ballweg worked for Levita Furniture Co. on the Sales and Marketing Team, then at ELAS as District Sales Manager from 1976 to1979. He then worked at SouthLand Life, also as District Manager, from 1979 to 1980. From there, Mr. Ballweg became President and Chief Executive Officer at Employer Employee Benefit Services from 1980 to 1984. He then worked at National Multiple Employers Fund from 1984 to 1986, as a National Trustee of ERISA. From 1986 to 1991, he was the Senior Vice President of Finance at New Petroleum Corporation. From 1991 to 1995, he became President and Chief Executive Officer at International Resorts, Inc. and held the same positions at Executive Business Consulting Services from 1995 to 1999 and at ALPS Marketing, Inc. from 1999 to 2001. He has been with Sun Flare Executive Consulting Group, Inc. since 2001 and is currently the Chief Executive Officer and Senior Consultant. He has also served as Executive Director of the Phoenix Trust from 2007 to the present.
Honors & Awards: Mr. Ballweg has received numerous awards and honors including "Knight of the Grand Cross" and "Ambassador at Large", both from the Knights of Malta Order of St. John, the "Presidential Unit Citation" with Two Oak Leaf Clusters and the "Outstanding Unit Citation" with Two Oak Leaf Clusters, both for his service in the Viet Nam War.
Career Accomplishments: Mr. Ballweg feels that his career success has been generated with all those who worked with him in all the specified areas of business, management and development, including through his military tour of duty. He is grateful for the experience and genuine trust of those he worked with, who inspired him and gave him hope and the challenges to become successful. He believes that without their trust, loyalty and efforts, he would just be a captain of a ship with no crew, and nowhere to go.
