Work History: Dr. Layman was an Histological Technician from 1971 to 1972 and a Teaching Fellow of Human Physiology from 1972 to 1974 at the University of Michigan Medical School. In addition, Dr. Layman was an Instructor at Lake Superior State University in Michigan from 1974 to 1975.

Career Accomplishments: Dr. Layman initiated the campaign leading to the passage of the Faculty Ranking Resolution to call tenured Faculty Professors within the Illinois Community College System. He recommended the development of a new discipline called "Compu-Think: Computer-like Modes of Human Thinking" and founded Robowatch: "Keeping A Watchful Eye on Robots and Computers", an International Human Rights Advocacy Group. Dr. Layman is recognized by The Grand Doctor's Committee (United Nations Affiliated) for stating the Global Problem: From Homo Sapiens to Robo Sapiens.
