| Career Accomplishments: |
Mr. Hughes initiated and coordinated programming among 30 organizations throughout the Southern Sudan to create and maintain food security with minimal malnutrition for 3 million people from 1994 through 1997. He is the lead author of the $26 million award from the Global Fund for the Sierra Leone HIV response in 2006. Mr. Hughes produced a Guide, "New Partners Initiative Guide to Managing U.S. Government Funded HIV/AIDS Programs", detailing how to secure funding, implement, report and close out HIV projects funded by the U.S. Government in 2009. |
