Ms. Rivera has over 20 years of experience in project management, energy conservation, electrical construction, electrical design and electrical operations, which includes supervisory responsibilities for the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority and Fluor Daniel Caribbean. She was in charge of the Pharmacia and Upjohn Caribe, Inc. electrical distribution system including high and medium voltage operations. In addition, she was Project Manager for the Warner-Lambert engineering department, working with the construction management of electrical and mechanical projects to support Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient manufacturing operations. She is in charge of the New Bulk Humalog Project, serving as Senior Plant Engineer for Lilly del Caribe, where she is responsible for the electrical and instrumentation site construction and start-up activities. Ms. Rivera is up-to-date in OSHA, NEC, NFPA AND GMP procedures. She participates in continuing education courses to compete with modern technology applications. Ms. Rivera speaks fluent Spanish and English and has systems mastery of SAP, CAPA-Trackwise, Six Sigma - EES, Power Logic and Maximo. Ms. Rivera is a Licensed Professional Engineer. |

Ms. Rivera worked at Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority from 1989 to 1993, serving as an Electrical Design Engineer IV and then as Electrical Engineer Supervisor II/Distribution Supervisor from 1993 to 1998. She went to Pharmacia and Upjohn from 1998 to 1999 as an Electric Engineer for Site Utilities. After that, Ms. Rivera worked for Warner Lambert as Project Manager from 1999 to 2000 and from 2000 to 2002, served as Project Manager at Fluor Daniel Caribbean. She currently serves as Senior Plant Engineer at Lilly del Caribe. |

Ms. Rivera was an active participation within one of the most important Biotechnology plants in Puerto Rico, The Bulk Humalog Plant for Lilly del Caribe, a subsidiary of Eli Lilly & Company. She was responsible for the electrical and instrumentation construction management, supporting the project from it's conceptual approach, design, construction, start-up, commissioning and operations, an over $1 billion dollar project. In addition to the construction and turnover stages, she was responsible for the electrical system operations and infrastructure evaluations from the EH&S electrical safety program, planning, capital projects suitability and reliability standpoint. She was also responsible for the electrical maintenance program development plant site, metrics development and in charge of the local energy conservation program development and leading the team, achieving around 12% reductions in energy and electrical power demand during the first 2 years. |
