Mr. Taylor is also an active freelance performer on trumpet. A few of his performance credits include performances with: Ray Charles, Phil Smith of the New York Phil, The Chicago Lyric Brass Quintet, The Dallas Brass, the Jacksonville Symphony and the Brevard Symphony. He has also been a participant in master classes for the following trumpet artists: Bud Herseth and Vincent Chicowicz of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Marie Especiale of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Taylor serves as a clinician/lecturer for various musical groups, schools and professional organizations at the state, national and international levels. He has been selected to be part of a prestigious mentorship program with Anthony Maiello, Professor of Music and Director of Instrumental Studies at George Mason University. Through his educational work with the Meritas International Family of Schools, Mr. Taylor works on the corporate fine arts team which oversees the fine arts programs at all 12 international schools. Each summer he takes 68 students on tour through Europe in conjunction with the International Make A Wish Foundation. Mr. Taylor is based out of Lake Mary Prep and serves as the Fine Arts Administrator as well as the band director.

Within the chamber he serves as the co-chair for the Education/Workforce Committee.
