During his 17 years at Oakland Community College, Dr. Ingram served as Dean of Academic & Student Services and as Division-wide Dean of Social Sciences and Human Services. Prior to that, he was employed as an organization development specialist for Henry Ford Health System from 1983 through 1990, and American Axle and Manufacturing from 1995 through 1996. He was a Director of Human Resource Development for Henry Ford Hospital from 1990 through 1992, with Mercy Health Services from 1981 through 1983, the University of Michigan from 1982 through 1983, and with the Albert Taubman Company from 1993 through 1995. Dr. Ingram served as Vice-President for Student Affairs at Shaw College from 1980 through 1981 and was Director of Afro-American Studies at Eastern Michigan University from 1976 through 1982. Dr. Ingram has served as part time adjunct faculty since 1980. |

Dr. Ingram is an accomplished educator, lecturer, and trainer. He taught American History, Political Science, Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, and Workforce Development to students at 9 of Michigan’s eleven state colleges and universities. He designed organization development courses in supervisory development and management and leadership for one of Michigan’s major healthcare systems. As a certified teacher in K-12 Social Studies, Dr. Ingram taught at 5 of Michigan’s largest urban public high schools. Dr. Ingram’s volunteer lecture program on motivation and self-empowerment is conducted at 3 of Michigan’s largest correctional facilities. The central message of his personal philosophy of transformation is incorporated into the “Rites of Passage Program” for African American boys and girls at Hartford Memorial Baptist Church in Detroit. He also co-founded a technology training firm called Harmony Point. |
